Application for subsidy: heating/cooling network

Arcadis and TNO have just submitted a subsidy request for the examination of options for a local heating and cooling network, in collaboration with a wide variety of other parties in the area.  This subsidy request was submitted to explore the technical, financial and organizational opportunities of such a network, powered by multiple innovative heating and cooling energy sources. The long-term objective is the development of a local heating/cooling network, supplied by local energy sources such as water retention in the soil, thermal energy from sewage systems, heat supply from street paving or residual heat from theaters. This results in a sustainable alternative for the current high-temperature heat grid that is powered by the waste processing plant.
